The PWBA Summer Classic Series is the second Classic Series event on the 2021 PWBA Tour schedule. Information regarding the daily schedule, host hotels and more will be available at a later date.
Registration for this event will open May 12, 2021.
The three national tour stops during the Summer Classic Series will be:
Aug. 3-5, PWBA Go Bowling Classic
Aug. 6-7, PWBA International Bowling Campus Classic
Aug. 9-10, PWBA BowlTV Classic
The pre-tournament qualifier to gain entry into the PWBA Go Bowling Classic and PWBA International Bowling Campus Classic will be held Aug. 2
The PWBA Regional event taking place during the Summer Classic Series will be held Aug. 8.
The field at the PWBA Summer Classic will be limited to 56 players. This event will include the top 48 players from the 2021 PWBA Tour points list through the PWBA Louisville Open, six spots from a pre-tournament qualifier on Aug. 2 and one exemption each from USBC and BPAA. The pre-tournament qualifier will be limited to 35 players.
The top 48 players from the 2021 points list have direct entry into the field. If one of the qualifed entrants does not enter the event by the 21-day deadline, the entry will revert to the next athlete on the points list.
The third national event in the Summer Classic Series - the PWBA BowlTV Classic - will feature the top 24 players from the PWBA Go Bowling Classic and PWBA International Bowling Campus Classic. The combined qualifying scores (18 total games) will determine the 24 finalists for round-robin match play. Qualifying totals will not be carried into the PWBA BowlTV Classic.
PWBA Tour national champions, regardless of membership status at the time of their win, and players competing in the top 24 at the PWBA BowlTV Classic will not be eligible to compete at the PWBA Regional event taking place Aug. 8.
