Before the tour went dormant in 2003, Johnson amassed 11 career titles and the 1996 PWBA Rookie of the Year award. She added three additional majors while the tour was away (U.S. Women’s Open in 2007 and 2013, USBC Queens in 2009) and became the first woman to make a Professional Bowlers Association Tour telecast in 2005.

Since the relaunch of the PWBA in 2015, Johnson has added 11 titles to run her career total up to 25 wins with 10 majors, including six U.S. Women's Open titles. She was the PWBA Player of the Year in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Outside the professional circuit, Johnson has six USBC Women’s Championship wins, was an 11-time member of Team USA with numerous international medals and was inducted into the USBC Hall of Fame in 2015.
