Hall of Fame

The Professional Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame began in 1995 and returned in 2019 to recognize outstanding competitors on the professional women’s bowling tours and those who provided outstanding support of professional women’s bowling off the lanes.

There are 49 members of the PWBA Hall of Fame through 2024 (29 in Performance, 10 in Pioneer, nine in Meritorious Service/Builder and one in Ambassador), and two talented athletes joined the hall of fame in the Performance category in May of 2024 (Dede Davidson and Sandra Jo Shiery).


The categories and eligibility criteria for each category are:
 

  • Performance – Within the Performance category, PWBA members have ascended to the pinnacle of competitive excellence. To qualify, bowlers must attain a minimum of 10 qualifying PWBA Tour titles, or a minimum of five qualifying PWBA Tour titles, where at least two of the five titles are majors. This elite standard represents the epitome of achievement in the world of professional women's bowling.

  • Pioneer – This category recognizes charter members who played pivotal roles in the establishment of the PWBA Tour. Despite facing limited opportunities to compete in their era, these individuals achieved remarkable success, securing multiple PWBA national titles.

  • Meritorious Service/Builder – PWBA members who advanced the PWBA as an organization, promoted the PWBA Tour through media and must show a minimum of five years of support.

  • Ambassador – Past PWBA members that have made a major impact on the growth of the PWBA Tour.
    • Started: 2019
    • Category: Open

The PWBA Hall of Fame committee consists of PWBA Hall of Fame members, bowling media members and appointed board of directors from the United States Bowling Congress and the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America.
