Pepsi, Nationwide are PWBA sponsors for fourth consecutive season

ARLINGTON, Texas – For the fourth consecutive season, Nationwide and Pepsi will be national sponsors of the Professional Women’s Bowling Association and the title sponsors of events on the 2019 PWBA Tour.

Nationwide will be the sponsor of the first PWBA stop in 2019, while Pepsi remains the official soft drink of the PWBA and will have its name on a PWBA Elite event.

The Nationwide PWBA Greater Cleveland Open kicks off the 2019 PWBA Tour season, starting April 25 at Yorktown Lanes in Parma Heights, Ohio. The stepladder finals are set for April 27 on BowlTV.

This marks the second consecutive year for Nationwide, based in Columbus, Ohio, to be the title sponsor for an event in its home state. At the 2018 Nationwide PWBA Columbus Open, Liz Johnson opened with nine consecutive strikes in the title match on her way to her 24th professional title.

The 2019 Pepsi PWBA Louisville Open will take place Aug. 8-10 at Executive Strike and Spare in Louisville, Kentucky. This will be the second consecutive season the PWBA Tour will make a stop in Louisville.

Pepsi was title sponsor of the 2016 and 2017 PWBA Lincoln Open, and sponsored the 2018 PWBA St. Petersburg-Clearwater Open where Diana Zavjalova rolled to the title as the No. 5 seed.

The Pepsi PWBA Louisville Open will be an elite-field event and the stepladder finals will be televised on CBS Sports Network. The 32-player field at the event will consist of the top 24 players on the 2019 PWBA points list with the remaining players determined through a pre-tournament qualifier.

The PWBA Tour also will have two new apparel partners in 2019 – CoolWick, an online retailer of bowling jerseys and other apparel featuring its CoolWick technology fabric, and Family Affair Customs, which sells custom bowling shoes, apparel, and backpacks.

The two will join returning apparel sponsors Apparel EFX, High 5 Gear, Kameleon Sportswear, Logo Infusion, Rift Apparel, and Vis-Sportswear.

Returning as accessories sponsors are 3G, Dexter, Eileen's Bowling Buddy, Genesis Bowling, Master Industries, Mongoose Products, Real Bowlers Tape, Robby's, Turbo Bowling Accessories, Ultimate Bowling Products, and VISE Grips.

Gold Level sponsors (equipment and logos) in 2019 are 900 Global, Brunswick, Columbia 300, DV8, Hammer, Motiv, Roto Grip and Storm. Silver Level sponsors (equipment only) are Ebonite and Track.

The 2019 PWBA Tour will have 14 events with four majors, including the season-ending PWBA Tour Championship in September.
